Reflections from Gakushuin
I used to think that I worried whether this work is going to be completed, because I haven't been in a foreign country. In other words, I study English only at my school. But friends in other school are very kind and they help me. I come to think strongly that using English is very important. The change of century is before long. Coming in contact with all over the world is needed by 21th century's people. In Japan, Keizo Obuchi prime minister announced the plan that English should be the second official language. I hope everybody can speak English.

This project was really a good experience for me. Although I have a computer at home, I didn't know how to work it. But now, I think I got better at using the computer! Finding out about Christmas was fun!!

I had such a great time working with everyone. I didn't have any techniques to work on pictures, but the other students were good at it, so we were able to help each other. I think we did a great job as a group. Not three groups put into one, but three schools working as one big group.

I have been working on the holiday Halloween, and Christmas. The works that had to be done and the schules were tough but it was worth doing it. It was alot of fun!! I would like to challenge it once again someday....

I really enjoyed working on this program. I was happy to discuss and collaborate with the students of the U.S. and Austraria, as the age of mine. Celebrations symbolize each country's culture. I knew every country has great celebrations and precious culture. We should save them, and pass them to the future. I'd like people all over the world to appreciate other culture, and make the peaceful world.

I really enjoyed this contest! Computer was difficult as I expected. I think I learnt about Christmas and Halloween. It took me so much time to start and also finishing it. This contest was a good oportunity for me to do computer.

Working on this project has taught us so many valuable lessons. Being an international collaboration, it required us to be very focused and determined to accomplish our goals. Working with people who live on the other side of the world forced us to work with punctuality, clarity so non-English speakers could understand, and patience. This project was definitely something that broadened our horizons. Before many of us carried a narrow minded view of holidays, and this project has allowed us to see how people celebrate all over the world. This project has been a challenge for our computer skills as well; forcing us to use our creativity to be able to change our brainstorms into actual web pages. The other great part of this project is we have made friends from other countries of the world and learned about their cultures as well as being able to share ours.

I really enjoyed this VC03 project. Discussing among three countries was very exciting. It was great fun to talk with foreigh students and I knew how important talking each other is. I also thought that understanding each culture. As our working went on, I learned own and foreigh culture. I think this project is so great. We communicate each other during working for one webpage. I am so glad to join this project.

This experience, to join VC03 team, was very valuable for me. Because it was my first time to make such a lot of English sentences and HTMLs. And I think it was great to make one thing with many friends in three countries spending such a long time. First, I had no idea how to do such a hard work, but now, I am really satisfied because our page is completed good. Thank you.

Site making of VC03 is succsessive of discoveries. Because of those has been my first oppotunity coming in contact with foreign students, when I discussed at the work site, I felt that there is some difference of three country's students' the way of thinking. So I was worried. But as I continued the meeting with them I found their expectations of wanting to make a great site. I think this will be my precious experience!!
