HOLI

The Festival of colours.......
Nowhere in the world do you find people actually colouring each other in pink, red, green, blue, celebrating spring. People dance and enjoy themselves.
We children specially look forward to Holi because on this day 'We can do a lot of naughty things like pouring full buckets of coloured water on everyone - even grown ups'
' We don't get scolded. It is a real  fun day for us'
' We buy water pistols and have water fights with all the children of our neighbourhood.'

DIWALI  - The Festival of Lights.......
After killing the demon Ravana, Lord Rama returned to his Kingdom. To show their joy, the citizens decorated the city with lights. They danced & sang & burst crackers.  However, as crackers pollute the environment we decided not to burst crackers and had a campaign in our school called, "SAY NO TO CRACKERS".no to crakers.jpg (31453 bytes)
We were so successful that even the government praised our efforts, in the newspapers !!!!!
