School Days

Good Morning ! ...by:Revin
We say OHAYO GOZAI-MASU in the morning. Almost every students comes on foot from their home. Many teachers and faculties are using bus, train or bike Nobody use cars except special reason.
Here is a video of how our school day begins.

We study everything in Japanese Language. We use Hirakana, Katakana and Kanji or Chinese characters to write Japanese. We can read and write about 200 Kanji now!! ** Hirakana is a set of phonograms made from Chinese character..Katakana is an angular virsion of hirakana and is mostly used for writing foreign words.

We like to study Japanese...by:Takuya, Ryo, Naoki and Shogo.
We have three kind of text books for KOKUGO or JAPANESE. We should learn many Kanji or Chinese Characters!!

We do everything! We serve lunch and clean our room. See pictures of us as we do these things here!

Learing Our Traditional Way of Life

Here are two examples of our activities of Learning Our Traditional Way of Life we need to teach our children.

Japanese Style life in TATAMI-mat room

We think that most Japanese are living in a house with a Tatami room. The house is made with woods, paper and glass!

Things are changing and we need to learn this at school.

Mochi-tuki

Mochi is rice cake. Mochi-tuki used be a kind of big ceremony in each family. We still eat them in a celebration. We can buy at food store all aronud the year but it is a rare event in a family.

It is very difficult to do this in a house in Tokyo.
