A1. The work rooms use Nicenet Internet Classroom Assistant (ICA) -- a Web based discussion system designed and developed especially for use by teachers and their students. It allows you to conduct group discussions and exchange information -- including files and links -- through a web browser.

A2. FTP -- File Transfer Protocol -- is the typical manner of uploading the work you do on your local computer(s) to the internet for use as a website. It requires an account and password that will be provided by the GVC Project Manager and FTP "client" software that is commonly available for both Macs and Windows-based PCs.
