We understand no machine translation is perfect.

As organizers, the Give Something Back International Foundation is very aware of privacy and security issues surrounding the Internet and particularly its use by children. The Global Virtual Classroom project uses secure technology and methods to create a safe environment and to protect the privacy of all participating students and teachers.

1. Each team's work, private discussions and personal contact information remain password-protected, and inaccessible to the public and even to members of other teams. More about Security.

2. We recommend that each participating teacher in GVC Contest and Clubhouse find out about school guidelines for privacy, especially about using students' photos or names on the Internet. Please share and discuss with your partners so you'll know what to expect. Remember that drawings can be just as nice as a photo, and a good way of showing your students' talents.

3. We respect our virtual community's privacy. Data on individual schools are accessible only to the Give Something Back International Foundation and Global Virtual Classroom organizers. Personal and team information will not be sold nor shared with anyone without permission. If we wish to use any photos or names in publicity materials, we will always ask the teachers first.
