On November 19, 2010, Ronda Zelezny-Green and Janet Barnstable presented the Global Virtual Classroom as part of the first online Global Education Conference. Ronda was in Boston, Janet just West of Chicago. Attendees were from Israel, Cote d'Ivoire, England, Missouri and other USA locations. The conference was powered by Elluminate.

The magazine issued by Gdyński Ośrodek Doskonalenia Nauczycieli (GODN) - the in-service training centre of the educators of Gdynia, Poland, features two articles on GVC. Issue 2 [4.7MB pdf] has article by Aleksandra Blalteberg with comments by Janet Barnstable. Issue 3 (coming soon) continues with more about the contest.
